SHARE THE SUNSHINE

Come out to the green fields,
the forests, the streams.
Come out to the free spirit
felt in your dreams.

Come out of the darkness,
the den of despair,
come out and feel free.
Come share the sunshine with me.

Come take my hand,
we'll walk for awhile.
Give me half your sorrow,
I'll give you a smile.

Learn how to make living feel good.
Learn it's not too late,
if only you could...

Come out to the green fields,
the forests, the streams.
Come out to the free spirit
felt in your dreams.

Come out of the darkness,
the den of despair.
Come out and feel free.
Come share the sunshine with me.

WALK TOWARD THE LIGHT

Oh wanderer,
stumbling vagabond,
where does your journey end?
You heed only the castaway's call.
You are in need of a friend.

But you'll get just close enough,
and then you'll walk away.
Walk toward the light
if you lack direction.
Walk toward the light,
I pray.

Raise up your head,
raise up your heart;
set your pace anew.
Cast off the castaway's call,
the light now waits for you.

Let your long suffering
be set aside today.
Walk toward the light
if you lack direction.
Walk toward the light,
I pray.

you remind me
that life is for moving on
that tomorrows hold hopes
we may never know
and that for every today
of sorrow spent
tomorrow shall bring the sun
to shine warmth
upon the coldness
of emptiness

approaching slowly
clearing the path
hoping the rain will end
love continues through thought
traveling time
to embrace the light

SET ME FREE

in solitude
I gaze upon the sunrise
and contemplate
the mystery
the destiny
the dream

I meld into the scheme
and from some distant imagining
I pretended was real
I cast my fate to the vision
I thought time would reveal

I wept for all that came before
and I wept to think
there may be nothing more
to keep me holding on

I knew my dreams were surely lost
when all my Faith was gone

so I reached deep within
to find a resting place
and relinguish my suffering soul
with a heart so weary
with a heart so worn
I found the strength to carry on

and in my wandering ways
I implored the powers that be
oh my dear and cherished soul
set me free
SET ME FREE

dear friends
like sweet cherished memories
are the players of one's heart strings
indispensable in times of need
reliably frank in times of questioning
courageous in times of weakness
steadfast in all kinds of circumstances
making one more whole
from the benefit of sharing love

true friend at my side

I can get there
if you go with me
if you are the true friend at my side

if you are the one I can turn to
in my darkest night

flowers don't grow in darkness

take my hand
walk with me
until it all fades away

I understand what is important
and what I should leave behind

I can get there
if you go with me
if you are the true friend at my side

(for JESUS)

WALK ON, WEARY ONE, WALK ON

a lonely walk amongst the trees
cautious whispers through the breeze
with silence for the heart's weary noise
journey where you may with grace
walk on weary one
walk on

journey slowly if you must
but in this knowledge you may trust
as you slow to catch the quest
reach for all in you that's blessed
walk on weary one
walk on

when your journey brings to you
others who struggle and pull through
gather strengths among you there
and know like-minded souls who care
walk on weary one
walk on
